Chalong
Bay is the main public marina in Phuket,
if you come in with a
ship - boat from outside Thailand you better
come in here. The formalities are handled quickly
and a safe place for your boat is for sure.
In 2006 the pier was extended further into the
bay to make sure there is no problem for anyone
to come in. For more on this subject have a look
here. There is a shuttle service from the far end of
the pier to to the land end. On the road to the pier
a couple of good restaurants, small hotels, supply
shops, travel agents, dive supply and transport
facilities offer their services.
Nearby -200m southwards-
in a place like Fisherman Way you can rent or buy
houses for short or long term and to Patong Beach
and Phuket Town it’s only 10 minutes with the car.
In the Fisherman Way business park -at
the circle towards Phuket Town- a large
wine selection is waiting, fitness gym, chocolate creations
from Belgium - mmmmm- it melts on the tongue and a
couple of other things.
At the circle towards Rawai about 1 km is a French
restaurant - serving French Riviera food, food is
quite heavy - and
towards Phuket Town a Swiss bakery with restaurant,
name Flintstone.
Towards Rawai after the school turn right to have a look for the
best orchid nursery in southern Thailand, run by a
Thai - German couple. The colors of the countless
orchids will make you stay for a while. ...chai... (chai
is Thai and means it’s true, it also means hearth).

If you turn towards south
at the
circle there is Pors´s Minimart
with
a large
selection
of wine
and
spirits
for
reasonable
prices.
Spa,
saunas
and
other
wellness
stuff is
within 5
minutes
of the
Chalong
Circle,
you also
will
find an
Israeli
and a
few
other
restaurant
(the
environment
is a
little
strange
but the
food not
bad).
Try to
avoid
the 7-11
shops
around,
they
have
usually
unqualified
employees
and many
times
the
stinky
trash is
littered
around
the
entrance
area,
especially
the one
7-11
opposite
the
school
is
notorious
for

Chalong Bay is the main public

money has about 3 times the
buying value in comparison to Europe, USA
etc. As a example, a tasteful Tom
Yam Seafood (seafood soup) with rice
and a Coke you get everywhere for
under 3 EURO.

on every road and all this silly problems at home , all this ... don't do this do and that, the lousy weather, unpleasant people, exorbitant taxes, the doorman |

disco-- emigrate to Thailand, it’s
easy going and you feel like to be
in paradise.
The government is offering special
long term retirement visa -no
taxes-.
Find a great
woman easily, also when you are maybe
already older or handicapped. Rent or buy a good
house or Phuket apartment and have a good time.
Nearby in places like Fisherman Way
you can rent or buy houses for short
or long term and to Patong Beach and
Phuket Town it’s only 10 minutes

around Chalong Circle at night.
on the eastern
side of Phuket Island is not one of
the trendy nightspot area like Patong Beach,
rather a quiet area around the circle and the
road leading to Chalong Bay Pier. The beer flows
quick, the ladies from Isaan and elsewhere wait and
try to have some fun.
On the road from
the circle to Rawai are some rotten Phuket
karaoke lounges, Chalong nightlife bars with
live music and a good seafood

restaurant on the
left side -going south-, behind this karaoke
places is a "cafe" with girls singing and doing
other stuff.
That doesn't mean
no table top dancer from time to time or maybe
one of the ladies do some Coyote Go Go on the
bar table.
It mostly depends
how many Beer Singh, tequila, spy wine or
any other stuff has been consumed.
Chalong bars are
mostly handmade from rustic wood , there is
no dance nightlife, no disco nightlife, only
some lounge and open air bars. |

But one thing is for
sure in every night club bar are plenty of
nightlife girls to spice up the nightlife scene.
Some pub bars are around but no scene bar or
scene nightclub.
